Delete your account and data ๐พ
App: CatWOW. Developer: BTechnology GmbH.
A CatWOW account is optional, and in the current version there is no sign-in at all, so there is usually no account to delete. Almost everything CatWOW knows lives on your phone only, and deleting the app removes it.
Erase what the trainer knows, in the app
This is the fastest way and it takes effect immediately. It works with or without an account.
Open CatWOW โ Profile tab โ Settings โ AI & data โ Forget everything.
Delete an account, if you have one
Once signing in is available and you used it: CatWOW โ Profile tab โ Settings โ Account & legal โ Delete account, then confirm.
Ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app, write to us from the email address you signed in with, so we can tell which account is yours.
We answer within 2 business days and delete within 30 days at the latest.
What gets deleted
Straight away, and for good:
- Your account and your email address.
- All sign-in sessions on every device.
- What the AI trainer remembered about your cat.
- Your conversations with the trainer, if you turned sharing on. Without that switch we never stored them in the first place.
- The topic statistics tied to you.
Everything CatWOW keeps on the phone itself, your cat's profile, your sound library, your recordings and the meow journal, goes away when you delete the app. We never had a copy of it.
What we cannot delete, and why
- Your subscription. It belongs to your Apple or Google account, not to us. Cancel it in the App Store or in Google Play. Deleting your CatWOW account does not cancel it and does not refund it.
- Payment and invoice records. German tax law makes us keep them, normally for ten years. They are not used for anything else.
- Anonymous statistics. Counts that carry no user behind them, for example how many people asked about scratching furniture. Nobody can trace those back to you.
How long data lives even without a request
We delete on a schedule anyway: usage counters after 30 days, shared conversations after 90 days, the trainer's memory after 12 months without use, topic statistics after 12 months, feedback after 24 months, and sign-in sessions after 400 days without use.
