How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → CatWOW → Cancel.
Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CatWOW → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open CatWOW → Profile → Settings → "Restore purchases".

How do I delete my data?

Most data is stored only on your device, deleting the app removes it. If you signed in, you can delete your account and everything stored with it right in the app, or ask us to do it: see Delete your account and data.

My cat doesn't react, is that normal?

Yes. Many cats react to the sounds, every cat is different, and some just flick an ear or ignore the phone. Try a different sound, keep sessions short, and hold the phone at arm's length. Flat ears, a twitching tail or hiding mean: stop for today.

The meow translator says it heard no meow

The translator only answers when there really was a meow, which is deliberate: no meow, no translation. Get closer to your cat, reduce background noise such as a television or a fan, and use listen mode, which keeps recording until your cat says something and stops by itself. If your cat is not in a talkative mood, try one of the example meows to see how a translation reads.

How accurate is the translation?

It is a playful AI estimate, not mind reading. Adult cats meow mostly at people, and pitch, length and rhythm change with the situation, which is what the AI listens for. Take the answer as fun, never as a diagnosis, and ask your vet when something worries you.

"Talk to your cat" does not play anything

Say a full sentence rather than a single word, check that CatWOW is allowed to use the microphone, and make sure the phone is not on silent. The answer is composed from real cat recordings, so it needs a moment. You can also tap one of the ready-made sentences, which plays without any recording at all.

I hit the daily limit of the cat trainer

The trainer comes with a daily allowance of questions and photos, and it resets every day. If you need more on one day, the optional one-time Trainer Boost lifts the limit for 7 days. It is a single purchase and does not renew.

How do I record and share a video?

Start the recording right in CatWOW while a sound plays, then share the clip in a tap. Each clip carries a small CatWOW.app mark. Nothing is posted anywhere without you.

Which languages does CatWOW speak?

34 languages, and the app follows the language of your phone. The meow translator and the cat trainer answer in that same language.
